Tools and Techniques of the Medieval Astrologers

by Robert Zoller, copyright 1981, Available from www.robertezoller.com

The practising medieval Astrologer answered questions. If he didn't, his life could be forfeit. Tools and Techniques is an in-depth analyisis of some of those first questions the Astrologers study.

The author, Robert Zoller, has spent over 20 years wading into the minds and manuscripts of the medieval Astrologers. He has come away with profound knowledge of the metaphysics, as well as nitty-gritty methods that were the ancients' tools. Modern minds now have a chance at understanding what the old tools are and how to use them.

We reap the benefits of Zoller's study in a concise book with practical examples. It explains the theory of how to choose the sex of the child through electional Astrology. He points out that this one practise well may be flawed, as conception can occur up do days after the sex.

The next part examines the differentia of births and whether the child will live or not using charts to exemplify the material. He proceeds to walk us through the techniques of length of life delineation.

Hey, what's the point of making predictions for someone who won't be around in five years?

The book continues with an exploration of other indespensible tools: Years of the Al Firdar with a slim, yet descriptive example.

Zoller put his money where his mouth is. This book is one of his most efficient works for introducing the modern Astrologer to learned views of the medieval Astrologer. He almost makes this scholarship easy.

Bob Zoller tests the rules and shows results for our study.

If you don't like practical, sometimes nitty-gritty Astrology, this book is not for you. But, if you want to teach yourself medieval Astrology without taking his course? this book may be the next best thing.

Perhaps one of the author's greatest gifts to us is his example of deep and thorough study as a need for our practise.

The book has a new and revised version available as a '.pdf' file from his website http://www.robertezoller.com/

I use both copies and of course defer to the new.
